Travel Event:

Our first travel excursion was “The Wild West Tour” in 2011, with eight internationals participating, covering eight mid- western states with highlights of the Rocky Mountains, Denver, Jackson Hole, Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone National Park, the Black Hills and Mount Rushmore. Since then we have taken students and scholars to the Lake of the Ozarks, Warren Dunes, Chicago, Lake Geneva, and Galena, IL. Lodging normally takes place in churches and family homes. Currently we are planning a Grand America Tour 2015 in May 2015. Through these trips, over 200 students from China, Inner Mongolia, Taiwan, India, Ukraine, Russia, and Brazil built lifelong friendships plus each gained a better understanding of American, its people, and its landscape.

May 29 at 7:00PM, we will meet at the Village Commons parking lot where we will pack the van for an early departure on Saturday, May 30 and sign Liability Release Forms. Saturday, we will pick up travelers at their place of residence given on May 29. You can bring what will fit into a small sized bag that would fit into a crowded airline overhead compartment. Also bring a light blanket/covering to sleep under during the nights we will be in churches on air mattresses. You will have a small amount of space under your seat. Your small personal pillow also may come in handy. Wear comfortable travel clothes as we’ll spend a lot of time in the van. You will need shoes that are safe and comfortable for long and sometimes rugged hiking. Remember a light jacket as the temperature at night in Yellowstone will reach the low 40’s. There will be no alcohol or tobacco use allowed at anytime during the trip.

You will notice most mornings begin with prayer and Bible study following breakfast. This trip is designed to show you part of the landscape of the United States and its culture. While the U.S. does not have a state religion we are culturally a Christian nation so during this trip I will guide you to an understanding of Christianity through an introduction to the Bible. It is not compulsory to attend these short studies but beneficial to understanding the complexity of American life. Perpetual Amity Furnishings & Travel has never before attempted such an extensive single trip. You will see and experience what I believe is the broadest and most exciting introduction to America possible in such a short time. Much prayer and preparation has gone into seeing you have a fabulous time during these tiring eleven days.

God bless each of you, Dan
